[REVIEW] Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion SPF50+ / PA+++

Hello!!! Finally an update. I've been so lazy to write any updates. Sorry.... :p And~~ Here I am, writing a blog post requested by my beloved friend, Lila. Lila, if you read this, thank you for the request so I can move my lazy butt and start writing something. LOL!

I got this BB/foundation cushion from Etude House. This is a sample sized product I get for free for subscribing their Newsletter on the official Indonesian website. I always want to try this, and was going to buy it. But good thing I can try before I buy now. I am not really fond into reviewing about sample size product. But since it is a request from a friend and also it is a sample size with decent amount of products (not just a sachet size sample), so I think why not blog about it!

Details:

Look at how cute it is! Even though it is a sample size using a cheap plastic jar, it is still looked cute! It's pink and has that silver printing on the cap. Really shows what Etude House is all about. Pink and Princess-y!! It comes with a thin plastic cup (?) to place the sponge, separate the sponge from the products. The sponge is just a normal sponge you can find everywhere, but the tiny size makes it cute.

The shade I got is W13 Natural Beige. I am so happy as it suits me so well and not ashy like other BB cream or Foundation products I have tried from Etude House. The coverage is really good, about medium. I should need some concealer for my undereye area, but even if I don't, it still covers my dark circle quite well.

The consistency is a bit thick if compared to other cushion like Laneige. But Laneige's coverage also not comparable. You can pick up too much with the regular sponge provided for this sample size. I think if you use the sponge special for cushions product (with the black pad one) I don't think this would happen. Also, the cushion itself it is pretty thick comparing to the full size which much wider and thinner than this sample size. You can see just how uneven the cushion is in the picture due to usage. It is a bit difficult to spread too because of the consistency.

The finish is really glowy, even too glowy for my taste. It looks shiny, probably due to the high SPF level as well. I toned down the center area of my face with a bit of powder and it still glows. This is one of products that gives a white cast, a really heavy white cast. It is considerable due to the SPF but really, nowadays there are tons of products with high SPF but give only minimal White Cast. You can see by the swatch on my hand below, the first picture is without flash and the second one is with flash:

It is pretty reflective to light. I don't even need the flash, you can see the stripes of light reflection there! That is where I swatch it. I even think this would be a good highlighter. LOL.

This stays quite decent of 4-5 hours. Although, it stays only about a couple hours covering the redness, I have one acne and it is pretty red, it covers the acne well but after a couple hours it shows up brilliantly.

Things that I don't really like from this product is that it catches unto my dry patches. I had some dry patches on my chins, and it shows up even when I have not put any powder yet. I have prep and moisturize my skin well before applying and this thing still happens. I don't have a very dry skin either. The other thing is that it sinks into my pores. It makes me so sad, really. :(

So here is my thoughts to warp the review:
Positive:
- Good Coverage
- Glowy finish
- If you have the full size, it will be really practical to carry around
- Good sun ray protection
- W13 is a very good shade for me! The base products (BB cream / Foundation) I've tried so far from Etude House tends to makes me look grayish after a while (I have mostly neutral undertone, slightly yellow, but I wears MUFE Foundation with Pink undertone with no problem at all)
- Good Price, If I'm not mistaken it is 218.000 IDR with member cards. Don't quote me on this though! Still, it is much cheaper than other cushion products on the market. Etude House is not a pricey brand to begin with (even though I think it is quite pricey in Indonesia, but if you can buy directly from Korea than use it for your advantage! It is so much cheaper!)

Negative:
- Sinks into pores
- Catches on my dry patches. I am not a super dry skin person and I gets slightly oily through out the day even though not crazy oily. But I do get a tad bit oilier than usual. This is so weird! But considering I usually get super oily using BB Cream or Foundation from Etude House, this is just a slight miss. If it doesn't catch on my dry patches, it would be perfect!

Other thoughts:
- White Cast, I don't really mind white cast and it has good sun screen protection. But for you who hate white cast really much, you can skip this.
- Staying Power, I wouldn't say it performs good, but it is not bad either.

Will I buy the full size? It sinks into pores which I hate so much if it happens, I think I won't buy it. But I don't know yet, I had same problems with Anna Sui Spot Concealer in the past, but now I have no such problem with it since I change the way I use it with. I hope I can get it right someday without it sinking into my pores since it is not a pricey cushion product and I really want a Cushion in my make up bag to go with. LOL.
